Landmarks and Colleges |
|
When you spend time in a city that is over 300 years old, you’re likely to come across a landmark or two. Charleston has more than its share of places and things that help to define it as a place unlike any other. We have captured a few of these notable landmarks in miniature form, including the USS Yorktown, WWII’s "Fighting Lady", which vigilantly guards Charleston’s Harbor, the Charleston City Market, which is still as vibrant today as it was 200 years ago. One of Charleston’s newer landmarks, the Pineapple Fountain, is a symbol of welcome to the city, and a favorite destination for kids during the dog days of summer. One of the Lowcountry’s oldest and most revered landmarks is the Morris Island Lighthouse which is perched at the entrance to Charleston Harbor. Finally, get into the college spirit with our Collegiate Collection, featuring the mascots of The College of Charleston and The Citadel. Go Team! Each miniature comes with a detailed description on the back.
